Proper nutrition isn't as mystic and trendy as most people think. There are a few principles that hold true despite the flashy, trendy names that get used to sell the same ideas over and over.

Principle 1: Burn the calories you consume. More if you want to lose weight. Less if you want to gain weight.

Principle 2: Food is fuel. It should be the main source of our nutrients. If it doesn't have nutrients, it probably wasn't intended to be food.

Principle 3: Different people have different lifestyles. Eat to suit YOUR lifestyle (or change your lifestyle to suit your diet).
